Legal & Terms

Last updated: February 7, 2026

Important:

By purchasing a ticket to Seekers Summit, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms on this page. All attendees will be required to sign a participation waiver and media release at check-in before entering the event.

Treasure Hunt Official Rules

The Seekers Summit Live Treasure Hunt is a skill-based contest conducted in compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) Section 13-3311. It is not a lottery, sweepstakes, or game of chance.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be 21 years of age or older with a valid government-issued photo ID. No exceptions. The age requirement exists because the treasure hunt involves on-site activities that are restricted to adults in accordance with organizer liability and venue policies.
  • Officers, directors, employees, and contractors of Treasure Hunt with Us LLC, EMA, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible to participate in the treasure hunt or win prizes.
  • Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Prize & Determination of Winners

  • The prize pool is valued at $10,000–$20,000 in cash. The exact amount will be announced on-site.
  • Winners are determined solely by intellectual ability, including clue-solving, strategy, speed, and accuracy. There are no random draws, lotteries, or chance elements. All participants receive identical information and clues at the same time.
  • In the event of a tie, tiebreaker procedures will be skill-based only.
  • Participation in the treasure hunt is bundled into the adult ticket price—no separate entry fee is required.

Rules & Tax Obligations

  • Complete contest rules will be published on this website and emailed to registered adult ticket holders no later than March 20, 2026—prior to the event. By purchasing an adult ticket after the rules are published, you agree to be bound by them.
  • Organizers reserve the right to make minor clarifications or procedural adjustments to contest rules. Any material changes to prize value, eligibility, or scoring methodology will be communicated to all registered participants in advance.
  • Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for prizes valued at $600 or more.
  • Organizers reserve the right to deny treasure hunt access to any participant for non-compliance with event rules or applicable law.

Disputes

Any disputes regarding the outcome of the treasure hunt will be resolved by the organizers, whose decisions are final. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved informally, the provisions in the Governing Law & Disputes section below shall apply.

Ticket Terms

  • All ticket sales are final—no refunds after purchase.
  • Event programming, schedule, and speakers are subject to change without notice.
  • Under-21 tickets provide access to all panels, presentations, the mixer, and safety sessions. Under-21 ticket holders are not eligible for the live treasure hunt.
  • Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by the organizers.
  • Ticket purchases are subject to Eventbrite’s terms of service in addition to the terms stated here.

Liability & Safety

By purchasing a ticket and attending Seekers Summit, you acknowledge and assume all risk associated with event attendance, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and loss of personal belongings.

Attendees agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, venue (Tucson Expo Center), and all affiliated parties from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from event attendance or participation. All attendees will be required to sign a participation waiver at check-in as a condition of entry.

Nothing in these terms shall be construed to limit liability for organizer gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Arizona law.

All participants must comply with Arizona state law and all posted event rules. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

The organizers maintain general liability insurance for the event.

This event is organized by EMA and Treasure Hunt with Us LLC (a Wyoming LLC), registered to do business in the State of Arizona.

Media Release

General Event Coverage

By purchasing a ticket and attending Seekers Summit, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded by event organizers, media partners, and other attendees. This media may be used for promotional purposes including social media, marketing materials, and press coverage.

Documentary & Commercial Productions

Professional film or documentary crews may be present at the event. If you are asked to participate in an on-camera interview, provide a testimonial, or be a featured subject in commercial documentary content, you will be asked to sign a separate, individual media release form granting specific rights for that use. General event attendance does not constitute consent to be a featured subject in commercial productions.

Minors

For attendees under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent on the minor’s behalf. A media release form for minors will be available at check-in and must be signed before the minor may enter the event.

Opt-Out

If you do not wish to appear in general event photography or video, please notify event staff at check-in. We will provide a visual indicator (such as a lanyard color) so that photographers and videographers can identify and exclude you where feasible. Note that we cannot guarantee exclusion from all incidental background appearances in a public event setting.

Code of Conduct

Seekers Summit is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all attendees.

  • Respectful behavior is expected of all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff.
  • Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Organizers reserve the right to remove any attendee for violations of this code of conduct without refund.
  • To report a concern, contact any event staff member or email comments@treasurehuntwithus.com.

Force Majeure

The event may be cancelled, postponed, or modified due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, acts of terrorism, or venue unavailability.

In such cases, organizers will make best efforts to reschedule the event. If the event is rescheduled, tickets will be honored for the new date. If the event is cancelled entirely and cannot be rescheduled, organizers will evaluate refund options and communicate them to all ticket holders. However, there is no guarantee of full refunds for cancellations caused by force majeure events.
